  • Espresso: From grinder types to parameters, extraction, and sensory evaluation. You will understand grind size, time, quantity, and taste – and how to fine-tune them.
  • Milk: How to modify the steam wand for fine foam, choose the right milk, and create creamy foam with targeted techniques. Afterwards, you will learn to pour a heart in your cappuccino – latte art step by step.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Everything about machine and grinder cleaning, descaling, and maintenance intervals.

You need the following for the course:

  • A DeLonghi Dedica EC685 or EC885
  • Fresh beans (preferably whole, not pre-ground)
  • Tamper
  • Portafilter, ideally with a double spout
  • Grinder with fine grind adjustment
  • Tamping mat
  • At least one milk pitcher
  • Knockbox
  • A cloth to keep the portafilter clean after each extraction
  • Nice to have: Water filter or test kit
