What would have to happen? Design would have to be integrated much earlier into the product development process (...) And they would have to have a seat at the C-level.
Roberto Inderbitzin is an industrial designer who loves coffee. So much so that he has also designed coffee machines. Design, he says, would have to be included much earlier in the process when a new product is being planned. Because then design could contribute to making products much better and more sustainable.
I talk to Roberto about what designers actually do, why many coffee shops look the same today, and why the design of old Italian coffee machines is still popular today.
